Due to the recent closure of Southern Oregon Compost, yard waste dropped off at Southern Oregon Sanitation is now being hauled to Rogue Compost in Jackson County.  This longer haul route comes with higher associated transportation costs.  As such, effective January 1st, 2026, the yard waste drop-off rate at the Redwood Transfer Station will increase from $6.50/yard to $16.00/yard.  The minimum charge will remain at $24.
We appreciate our customers continued patronage as we continue to look for cost-effective ways of moving yard waste through the system.
